How do I provide individual hosting control panel login to my users/clients?

Plesk 8.x or older

If you have multiple domains under your hosting control panel, your master login will allow you to see and manage all of the domains. However, in many cases, the domains belong to different owners or clients, and it is not reasonable to provide your master login to them due to obvious security reasons. If there is a request from a domain owner and you would like to grant individual hosting control panel access to him/her, the steps are as follows:

1)Log into your hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.

2)At the bottom of the page, click directly on the domain name whose owner has requested hosting control panel access.

3)Click on the "Domain Administrator" icon or the "Domain User" icon under the "Domain" section.

4)Allow access and enter a new password and click "OK".

5)Once access is allowed, the owner can then log into the hosting control panel at http://admin.userdomain.ca . The username is the domain name itself and the password is the one that has just been created. The access is limited to this owner's domain particularly, and all other domains under your main hosting control panle are inaccessible and invisible.

Note

With this feature, you can maintain the control of a master administrator and at the same time, allow individual users to control their own domain's setting.

If you have forgotten the login information to your hosting control panel, please refer to KB-3000 for more instructions on how to retrieve it.
