How do I update my FTP password? When your web hosting plan is first created, you are assigned a random password for your FTP connection. You can update this password as follows:
Plesk 8.x or older
| 1) | Log into your hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca. |
| 2) | Click directly on the domain name at the bottom of the page. |
| 3) | Click on the "Setup" icon under the "Hosting" section. |
| 4) | Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK". |
Plesk 9.x
| 1) | Log into your hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca. |
| 2) | Click on the "Domain" icon and then click on the domain name. |
| 3) | Click on the "Web Hosting Settings" icon under the "Web Site" section. |
| 4) | Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK". |
Plesk 10.x
| 1) | Log into your hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca. |
| 2) | Select the desired domain from the "Subscription" drop down box at the top right corner (only if you have multiple domains). |
| 3) | Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab. |
| 4) | Click on the "FTP Access" icon. |
| 5) | Click directly on the FTP User name. |
| 6) | Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK". |
