How do I update my FTP password?

When your Windows hosting plan is first created, you are assigned a random password for your FTP connection. You can update this password as follows:

Plesk 8.x or older

1)Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.

2)Click directly on the domain name at the bottom of the page.

3)Click on the "Setup" icon under the "Hosting" section.

4)Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK".

Plesk 9.x

1)Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.

2)Click on the "Domain" icon and then click on the domain name.

3)Click on the "Web Hosting Settings" icon under the "Web Site" section.

4)Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK".

Plesk 10.x

1)Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.

2)Select the desired domain from the "Subscription" drop down box at the top right corner (only if you have multiple domains).

3)Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.

4)Click on the "FTP Access" icon.

5)Click directly on the FTP User name.

6)Enter your new password for your FTP connection and click "OK".

Note

If you have forgotten the login information to your Windows hosting control panel, please refer to KB-3000 for more instructions on how to retrieve it.
