How do I update the name server (DNS) records for my domain? If your domain is registered with Namespro.ca but another company or party is providing hosting service to you, it is necessary to point your domain's name server records to your host. The steps are as follows:
| 2) | Click on "domain list" on the left menu. |
| 3) | Click directly on the domain name to edit its settings. |
| 4) | Select the option "4) Specify your own name servers" under the "web settings" section. |
| 5) | Enter the necessary name server information provided by your host and click "save". The change will be submitted to the appropriate registry immediately and will take approximately 6-12 hours to propagate through the Internet. |
Note
 | When your domain is pointed to an external set of name servers, we no longer have control over your web and e-mail traffic. All traffic will be handled and directed by your host after the initial propagation period. If you encounter any difficulties with the setup, you should contact their support team for assistance. |
