I have just bought a domain. What actions should I take? After you have purchased a domain, the goal is to acquire the ownership of the domain from the current owner. There are 2 actions required in chronological order:
| 1) | The first step is to perform a RegistRAR transfer. This step is to bring the domain from the current registrar to Namespro.ca. When this step completes, the domain will be managed by Namespro.ca and set up in your Namespro.ca account. We can subsequently assist you in acquiring the ownership of the domain. If the domain is already with Namespro.ca, then this first step can be skipped. |
 | | For a dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1001 for more instructions. |
 | | For a non-dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1002 for more instructions. |
| 2) | The next step is to perform a RegistRANT transfer. At this stage, the domain is managed by Namespro.ca. This step is to bring the domain under your ownership to complete the sale. |
 | | For a dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1003 for more instructions. |
 | | For a non-dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1004 for more instructions. |
When both steps are complete, our system will update your Namespro.ca account accordingly to reflect the ownership change.
Note
 | If you have bought a domain from a Namespro.ca user and would like to transfer the domain to another registrar, their support team will be able to answer any questions that you or the seller may have. |
