How do I approve a CIRA registrant merger? Once the CIRA registrant merger is initiated, 2 actions are required:
| 1) | The losing registrant confirms the process with CIRA by logging into his/her CIRA registrant account at https://registrants.cira.ca/user. The CIRA registrant password for the losing registrant is required for this step. |
| 2) | The receiving registrant confirms the process with CIRA by logging into the CIRA registrant interface https://registrants.cira.ca/user. The CIRA registrant password for the receiving registrant is required for this step. |
The order of actions is not important, but both actions must be completed in order for the merger to complete. Normally, there is a corresponding ticket following the progress of a CIRA registrant merger. When both steps are complete, our system will finalize the process and update the user's Namespro.ca account to reflect the change.
Note
 | If you do not have access to your current admin contact e-mail address because it is out-of-date, you will not be able to retrieve your CIRA password. Our suggestion is to first perform a search in your e-mail archive to look for your CIRA password, which was sent to you when you first registered your domain. If there is no result, you then need to contact us to perform a MCAC (Manual Change of Admin Contact) process. This process requires completing an official CIRA form and faxing it to us. More information will be provided when we receive your ticket. You can also find the official CIRA document at http://www.cira.ca/en/cat_Registrar.html. |
