Your master FTP login allows you to access all files under your Windows hosting plan. There are 2 other ways to provide FTP access to your users:
i) More flexible option
You can grant a user access to any folder under your httpdocs directory. The steps are as follows:
Plesk 8.x or older
a.
Create the target FTP folder via your main FTP connection (or via the "File Manager" icon within your Windows hosting control panel).
b.
Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.
c.
Click directly on the domain name at the bottom of the page.
d.
Click on the "FTP Accounts" icon or the "FTP Management" icon under the "Hosting" section.
e.
Create a new FTP sub-account by specifying the target folder.
f.
Once created, the new FTP sub-account name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
Plesk 9.x
a.
Create the target FTP folder via your main FTP connection (or via the "File Manager" icon within your Windows hosting control panel).
b.
Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.
b.
Click on the "Domain" icon and then click on the domain name.
d.
Click on the "FTP Accounts" icon under the "Files" section.
e.
Click on the "Add New FTP Accounts" icon.
f.
Create a new FTP account by specifying the target folder.
g.
Once created, the new FTP account name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
Plesk 10.x
a.
Create the target FTP folder via your main FTP connection (or via the "File Manager" icon within your Windows hosting control panel).
b.
Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.
c.
Select the desired domain from the "Subscription" drop down box at the top right corner (only if you have multiple domains).
d.
Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.
e.
Click on the "FTP Access" icon.
f.
Click on the "Create Additional FTP Account" icon.
g.
Create a new FTP account by specifying the target folder and enter the necessary information.
h.
Once created, the new FTP account name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
ii) More control option
You can create a "Web user" for each user that requires FTP access. They will be uploading their files to the directory "/web_users/" under your root directory. A sample directory structure with 3 "web users" will look like: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ /.. /web_users/.. /web_users/user1/ /web_users/user2/ /web_users/user3/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
To proceed with this option, the steps are as follows:

Click on the "Web Users" icon under the "Hosting" section.
d.
Create a new "Web user" by entering the desired name.
e.
Once created, the new Web user's name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
f.
As a side note, each "Web user" has a default personal webpage and the URL is http://www.yourdomain.ca/~webusername.
Plesk 9.x
a.
Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.
b.
Click on the "Domain" icon and then click on the domain name.
c.
Click on the "Web Users" icon under the "Web Site" section.
d.
Click on the "Add New Web User" icon.
e.
Create a new "Web user" by entering the desired name.
f.
Once created, the new Web user's name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
g.
As a side note, each "Web user" has a default personal webpage and the URL is http://www.yourdomain.ca/~webusername.
Plesk 10.x
a.
Log into your Windows hosting control panel at http://admin.yourdomain.ca.
b.
Select the desired domain from the "Subscription" drop down box at the top right corner (only if you have multiple domains).
c.
Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.
d.
Click on the "Show Advanced Operations" link.
d.
Click on the "Web Users" icon.
f.
Click on the "Add New Web User" icon.
g.
Create a new "Web user" by entering the desired name and all other necessary information.
h.
Once created, the new Web user's name and password can be used to connect to your FTP server at ftp.yourdomain.ca.
i.
As a side note, each "Web user" has a default personal webpage and the URL is http://www.yourdomain.ca/~webusername.
