How do I install Wordpress, Joomla or other 3rd party applications on my Linux hosting plan?
Our Linux hosting platform comes with many 3rd party applications, which include different types of blogging, CMS or shopping cart software. Some of the most popular names would be Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Zen Cart, phpBB and more. Installation of these programs are done via cPanel's Softaculous installer. It is an extremely easy, efficient, 1-click process.
To install a 3rd party application on your Linux plan, the steps are as follows:
1)
Log into your Linux hosting cPanel at http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/cPanel. (see 2nd note)
2)
Locate the "Softaculous" icon or section.
3)
Select the desired 3rd party applications.
4)
Install as per on-screen instructions.
Note
You can install, uninstall and re-install applications using "Softaculous" at any time.
If you have forgotten the login information to your Linux hosting cPanel, please refer to KB-3500 for more instructions on how to retrieve it.
