Upon the completion of the check out process, user will be instructed to click on "my transfers" on the left menu. The pending transfer will be displayed.
3)
User must perform 2 simple actions in order to initiate the transfer. The first action is to obtain the authorization code from the losing registrar. The second action is to request the domain to be unlocked by the losing registrar.
4)
Once both actions are completed, user can enter the authorization code on the "my transfers" page and click "submit" to proceed.
5)
Our system and on-screen instructilons will guide the user through the selection or creation of a receiving registrant and complete the transfer in real time.
6)
The domain will be attached to the user's Namespro.ca account immediately if the transfer is successful.
Note
Your current registrar is the only party who can unlock the domain and provide you with the authorization code. The official CIRA WHOIS can be found at http://whois.cira.ca/.
The whole process can be completed within a few minutes, providing that the user has the correct authorization code from the losing registrar and the domain is unlocked.
CIRA rules state that newly registered dot-ca domains or dot-ca domains that have gone through a recent registRAR transfer cannot be transferred within 60 days.
Unlike non-dot-ca domains, there is no transfer confirmation email sent in a dot-ca registRAR transfer process. User can initiate and complete the transfer directly from the "my transfers" page within their Namespro.ca account, which is a proprietary tool built by our own engineers.
In the rare case that an error occurs during the transfer process, our system will display the failure reason on-screen and the appropriate resolution. Our support team will also be alerted if necessary and a support ticket will be created automatically to follow up on the error.
