I have just bought a domain. What actions should I take?
After you have purchased a domain, the goal is to acquire the ownership of the domain from the current owner. There are 2 scenarios:
i) If the domain is at another registrar
You can perform a registRAR transfer to bring the domain from the current registrar to Namespro.ca. You will be able to select an existing or create a new receiving registrant during the transfer. What this means is that our registRAR transfer process will import the domain to your Namespro.ca account and at the same time, set it up under the registrant of your choice.
For a dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1001 for more instructions.
For a non-dot-ca domain, please refer to KB-1002 for more instructions.
ii) If the domain is already managing by Namespro.ca
You can perform an ownership transfer (domain push). Our system will simply move the domain to your Namespro.ca account and under the registrant of your choice upon the approval by both the losing and gaining party.
For all domains, please refer to KB-1004 for more instructions.
Note
If you have bought a domain from a Namespro.ca user and would like to transfer the domain to another registrar, their support team will be able to answer any questions that you or the seller may have.
