Will my domain expereience any down time during a registRAR transfer process?
The only piece of information that changes during a registRAR transfer is the registrar's name. All contact information and DNS records will not (and should not) be changed during the process. Providing that your original DNS records continue to be active, your domain will not experience any down time. In other words, your web and e-mail services will remain uninterrupted and active.
Note
Please be advised that some registrars will discontinue your DNS service if your domain is transferred away and no longer managed by them. If this is the case, you can update your domain's DNS records by selecting different domain settings within your Namespro.ca account after the registRAR transfer is complete. The options available are "Domain Parking", "Domain forwarding", "IP forwarding", "Specifying your own DNS records", "DNS hosting", "Windows hosting" and "Linux hosting".
If your domain is already experiencing down time prior to the registRAR transfer, it is likely that the domain has expired. It is not possible to transfer expired domains with the extensions .com, .org, .net, .biz and .info. Domains with .ca extension can be transferred within 30 days after expiry.
